Lake Breeze ‘Arthur’s Reserve’ Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot Malbec 2016

This stylish wine is a tribute to Arthur Follett, who planted the first vines on the family property in the 1880’s.

A blend of 88% Cabernet, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec, this wine is truly handcrafted from the vineyard through to the finished product.  The grapes were carefully selected from 40-50 year old vines from the family vineyard on the famous Langhorne Creek flood plain.

“97 points, Exceptional + Special Value”

“An estate-grown 88/7/5% blend. It is such an elegant wine, the purity of the cabernet sauvignon (the other bits and pieces don’t count) is smashing, as is the structure ex superfine tannins and oak. Here value comes in double magnums.”
James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2020

“(…).  One of our country’s most awesome red wines full-stop, in fact…”

“It’s not from Margaret River, nor Coonawarra, but from Langhorne Creek: and Lake Breeze’s Arthur’s Reserve ’16 is one of Australia’s great cabernet sauvignon-based wines.  One of our country’s most awesome red wines full-stop in fact, and has been – vintage conditions permitting – for a decade and a half.  So too the straight cabernet sauvignon.”
