Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021

This Pinot Noir is from four plots located on Savigny-les-Beaune, Ladoix-Serrigny, and Pommard. Including the climat “La Chappelle Notre-Dame”. The soil is clay and limestone and average age of 30 years. The grapes are hand harvested and manually sorted. They are then 100% destemmed, traditional vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. The wine is matured for 10-12 months in a combination of older oak barrels and stainless steel. A pleasant bouquet of crushed blackberries and raspberries. The palate is medium-bodied with light, spicy opening, a good density and a solid blackberry, strawberry finish.

“Aromas of red fruit and some stoniness in evidence too. Broad, sweeping, vibrant – the structure present but never loud – really floral extras in this still structural finish – a wine to give 1-2 years of patience but it is very long for its level and will come around beautifully” Bill Nanson, 2021 Burgundy Report
