Another classic from the Bird Rock stable. The 2020 Bellbrae Bird Rock Pinot Noir exhibits restraint that builds through the palate with flavours of strawberry, rhubarb and cherry. The fruit is accompanied by dusky wood spices and fine, cedar-like tannins. It is graceful, refined yet has a bit of new school sass thrown in. If you like it fresh and youthful then drink in the next 2-4 years. For more mature characters, buy it and lay down – the Bird Rock has a reputation for rewarding time spent in the cellar.
