Helen’s Hill Estate wines from Coldstream in the Yarra Valley will be coming to Glen Iris!  Owner and vigneron, Allan Nalder, will join us for a wine tasting journey at a Malaysian-Thai local favourite, Kerabu Malaysian Restaurant.!  This will be a great way to tie up 161 Cellars wine events for the year and wish everyone a wonderful festive season.

Since its opening a couple of years ago, Kerabu has quickly become a hot spot!  Serving fresh, vibrant and balance Malaysian-Thai inspired food it is often difficult to get a table!  We believe the wines by Helen’s Hill will pair perfectly with the menu at Kerabu, producing a unique dinner experience.

As with all good wine events, there will be lots of wine to try!  Kicking off with En Vie Blanc de Noir bubbles and ‘Lana’s’ Rosé while easing into the meal with a collection of traditional shared entrées.  The main course will be a shared banquet style of classics dishes – Red Duck Curry with ‘Range View’ Reserve Pinot Noir, Javanese Eye Fillet and ‘Hill Top’ Syrah, prawns and chicken flavoured with turmeric paired with ‘Breachley Block’ Chardonnay.  Yum Yum!  For something different at an Asian restaurant, we will finishing off with cheese platters paired with ‘Old Orchard’ Cabernets!
