Terra do Rio | Land of River – is an estate grown vineyard located in South Australia’s Riverland.

This rare six hectare vineyard has been dedicated to the exploration of Portuguese and Iberian Peninsula grape varieties.  The vines are hand pruned, hand harvested and the wines handmade.

The Riverland climate is decidedly Mediterranean. Long hot summers, cold winters and little rainfall. Long sunshine hours ensure fruit ripens fully and the low humidity results in little or no disease pressures. Water is provided from the meandering flow of the Murray, one of the longest and most important river systems in Australia. Ancient soils that are ready for a new imagining and Ashley Ratcliff is ready to showcase the Riverland.
