A five star rating in James Halliday’s definitive Australian Wine Companion since 2012 ranks Flametree Wines in the top 5% of all of Australia’s wineries.

The Flametree is an Australian native tree that provides a spectacular display of flowers. However, it only blooms if the conditions affecting climate, soil, frost, wind and place of planting are in harmony.

Perfume, structure and elegance are the three essential elements to produce beautifully crafted and distinct wines. These are represented by the three leaves in the Flametree logo.

By winning Australia’s most well-known and respected wine accolade, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, with their first ever red wine, Flametree Wines quickly captured the attention of wine media, trade and consumers.

Flametree ‘Embers’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

The 2016 Flametree ‘Embers’ Cabernet has lifted aromas of violets, ripe black fruits with chocolate and cedar notes. This year’s wine is a little more structured and finer than the more juicy 2015 vintage. Flavours of Satsuma plum, blackberry and chocolate underpin this years wine. Unashamedly medium bodied with soft fruit and a fine tannin structure.

The nose displays nectarine, pear and melon fruits that combine with honeysuckle notes derived from the older oak and lees. Flametree Chardonnay 2016

92 points “Light to mid-yellow colour, with a subtly complex bouquet which possesses buttery, honeyed and toasted nut nuances. It’s rich and intense in the mouth with a little firmness and a clean, refreshingly dry finish, medium-long. Some roast hazelnut is starting up. A lovely complex, satisfying chardonnay. It’s the real thing. Great value!” Huon Hooke, The Real Review, October…

Flametree Pinot Noir Rosé 2015

Flametree believe that phenolics and texture are far more important than fruit and sweetness for a traditional Rosé style. This is a lovely modern dry savoury style of Rosé than can be enjoyed throughout the year with a range of Mediterranean dishes or as an aperitif.
